NEW YORK - Ruder Finn has hired Weber Shandwick North America health lead Kelley Yoder as managing director and global head of health and life sciences.
Yoder joins after more than 12 years at Weber Shandwick, where she most recently served as North America health lead. Her previous roles at the agency included executive VP and North America corporate health lead, Chicago healthcare and corporate practice lead, and Chicago health practice lead.
At Ruder Finn, Yoder will oversee the agency's global health and life sciences business across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostics sectors. The agency said she will work closely with its rf, rf53 and rf teams across strategy, creative and technology offerings.
Ruder Finn said the appointment builds on year-over-year healthcare growth and reflects continued investment in healthcare communications, product marketing, digital and AI-related capabilities.
“We're building the agency of the future,” CEO Kathy Bloomgarden said in a statement.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the move, Yoder said“the industry is at an inflection point” and cited Ruder Finn's“AI-forward approach and fun, entrepreneurial culture” as factors that drew her to the agency.
The agency also announced three additional senior healthcare hires: Kate Foss as EVP, healthcare; Tara Yates as EVP, healthcare; and Alli Wiese as SVP, healthcare content.
