Uber Promotes Jill Hazelbaker To President, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

(MENAFN- PRovoke) SAN FRANCISCO - Uber has promoted longtime communications and policy executive Jill Hazelbaker to president and chief corporate affairs officer, expanding her responsibilities to include the company's people function and Safety Operations organization.

Hazelbaker, who had been serving as senior VP of marketing and public affairs since 2019, assumes the additional duties following the departure of chief people officer Nikki Krishnamurthy, according to reports based on an SEC filing

The appointment places a communications executive in one of the company's top leadership roles, with oversight spanning communications, public policy, marketing, HR and safety operations.

Hazelbaker joined Uber in 2015 as VP of policy and communications. She was promoted to senior VP of policy and communications in 2017 before taking on oversight of marketing in 2019 as senior VP of marketing and public affairs.

Before Uber, Hazelbaker held communications and public policy roles at Snap and Google. Earlier in her career, she served as communications director for John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign and as press secretary for Michael Bloomberg's 2009 re-election campaign.

Krishnamurthy will remain with Uber in an advisory role during the transition period, the company said.
