Moph Shares Essential Health Guidelines For Hajj Pilgrims
Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health has issued safety guidelines to assist pilgrims in completing essential physical and medical preparations ahead of the Hajj season to protect their well-being and ensure a safe pilgrimage.
In a social media post, the ministry recommended building stamina through daily walking, gradually increasing steps to 8,000–10,000, and maintaining a varied, balanced diet that supports immunity and overall health.

The ministry also advised pilgrims to limit foods and beverages high in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats in favour of nutrient-rich alternatives.
It further stressed that a medical consultation is essential, particularly for senior citizens and those with chronic conditions, to confirm fitness for travel.
The ministry also advised pilgrims to assemble a medical kit containing first aid supplies and any required medications or devices, such as a glucose meter, and to undergo routine health and dental examinations prior to departure to identify and address potential issues in advance.
