Trump Warns Iran on Uranium

(MENAFN) .S. President Donald Trump revealed Sunday that American forces are actively tracking Iranian enriched uranium buried beneath debris, with the U.S. Space Force tasked with overseeing surveillance of the material.

Speaking in a pre-recorded interview with an independent journalist that aired Sunday, Trump issued a stark warning to anyone attempting to access the buried uranium stockpile, declaring the U.S. would "blow them up" upon detection.

The president went further, asserting that American forces have already neutralized the majority of intended military targets inside Iran, describing the country as "militarily defeated."

"We could go in for two more weeks and do every single target. We have certain targets that we wanted to ... And we've done probably 70 percent of them, but we have other targets that we could conceivably hit," said Trump.

On the diplomatic front, Iran submitted its response to the latest U.S.-proposed framework for ending the conflict to mediator Pakistan on Sunday, Iran's official state news agency reported. The proposal, according to the news agency, centers at this stage on bringing hostilities in the region to a close.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio underscored Washington's core demand, stating that Iran must "make it clear" that they do not seek a nuclear weapon — a condition the Trump administration has identified as essential to reaching any peace agreement.
