Trump Warns of Force if Iran Nuclear Site Is Accessed Amid Ongoing Tensions
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump has warned that military force could be used if anyone attempts to access Iran’s uranium-related nuclear site, according to remarks released on Sunday.
In comments from an interview conducted earlier in the week, Trump said US authorities are closely monitoring the facility, claiming that surveillance systems allow Washington to track any movement near the site.
“We’ll get that at some point. Whenever we want. We have it surveilled,” he said, referring to the nuclear materials.
He also pointed to US surveillance capabilities linked to the Space Force, stating that if someone approached the area, authorities would be able to identify them immediately.
“If somebody walked in, they can tell you his name, his address, the number of his badge. No, we have that very well surveilled,” he said.
Trump further warned that any unauthorized access would be met with force, stating: “If anybody got near the place, we will know about it and we’ll blow them up.”
He also claimed that Iran’s infrastructure had been significantly weakened during ongoing hostilities involving the US and Israel, suggesting that reconstruction efforts would take many years. According to his remarks, a large portion of intended targets had already been struck, though he added that additional strikes could still be carried out.
“We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon because they're crazy. We cannot let them have access to nuclear,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Iran has submitted its response to a recent US proposal aimed at ending the conflict through Pakistani mediation. The situation remains tense, with diplomatic efforts continuing alongside discussions on regional security and maritime passage, including the Strait of Hormuz.
