The PDMA also cautioned that urban flooding may occur in low-lying areas of Peshawar, Mardan and Nowshera, urging residents to take precautionary measures.

The authority warned that strong winds and hailstorms could damage weak structures, electricity poles and solar panels, while standing crops across the province may also be affected. Farmers have been advised to take protective measures.

The PDMA has directed district administrations to ensure advance preparedness, keep rescue teams on standby and guarantee timely provision of resources.

Relevant departments have also been instructed to keep major highways open, maintain traffic flow and provide alternative routes where necessary.

The authority further directed officials to immediately clear drainage systems and take steps to prevent urban flooding.

District administrations and related institutions have been advised to discourage unnecessary travel for tourists and keep the public informed about weather conditions.

The PDMA urged citizens to stay away from floodwaters, streams and dangerous areas during heavy rainfall.

According to the PDMA spokesperson, the Emergency Operations Center is fully operational, and citizens can report any emergency or untoward incident through the helpline 1700.
