Laurie Parsons is a Reader in Human Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Laurie's work examines how the global economy shapes the impacts of climate change.

He is Principal Investigator of the projects The Disaster Trade: The Hidden Footprint of UK Imports and Investment Overseas and Hot Trends: How the Global Garment Industry Shapes Climate Vulnerability in Cambodia. He is also Co-Investigator of Blood Bricks: Untold Stories of Modern Slavery and Climate Change from Cambodia, which examined the intersection of poverty, mobility and climate change in global supply chains.

His books include Carbon Colonialism: How Rich Countries Export Climate Breakdown, Going Nowhere Fast: Inequality in the Age of Translocality, and Climate Change in the Global Workplace.
