Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Axar Patel has come under heavy fire for his off-field actions following the team's embarrassing defeat in the IPL 2026 clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Monday, April 27.

The DC registered their fifth defeat of the season after a nine-wicket loss to RCB. The hosts, led by Axar Patel, witnessed a dramatic batting collapse as they were bundled out for just 75 in 16.3 overs, with six wickets lost in the powerplay. In a video, which was posted by Axar on his Snapchat account, that went viral on social media, the DC skipper was seen introducing England spinner Rehan Ahmed in a fun Hindi-English mix conversation, joking about how he understands English while his teammate understands Hindi, leading to a light-hearted exchange between the two.

When Axar asked Rehan about his experience at Delhi Capitals, the England spinner hilariously said he had seen both extremes of the tournament in just a few games, joking about experiencing a massive 260-plus total against Punjab Kings and a shocking 75 all out against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

A few days before a 75 all out, the Delhi Capitals posted a massive total of 264/2 in 20 overs, but failed to defend it as the Punjab Kings chased down the 265-run target with seven balls to spare, completing one of the most dramatic high-and-low sequences of the season.

Others criticised the team's seriousness, saying DC needed stronger leadership and accountability following two back-to-back defeats, including one in which they failed to defend a 264-run total.
