"The intensity of enemy UAV attacks in Sumy necessitates stronger protective measures in the city. At present, this involves covering 8,000 square meters of areas and 21 km of roads with anti-drone nets," the statement says.
Kryvosheienko also noted that the cost of installing the anti-drone coverings has already been calculated: about UAH 23 million will be allocated from the Sumy community budget for these works.
According to him, the implementation requires taking into account many factors affecting the effectiveness of anti-drone protection, including mesh density, strength of supports, placement, and others.
