17 Injured In Head-On Train Collision In Denmark


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 17 people were injured after two local trains collided head-on in Denmark on Thursday.

The incident occurred north of Copenhagen on a railway line linking the towns of Hillerød and Kagerup, according to Reuters, which cited a police statement.

“It is two local trains that have collided head-on,” a spokesperson for the rescue services told Reuters.

“There are injuries among the passengers. Everyone has been evacuated from the trains, so no one is trapped. Large resources have been dispatched to the scene,” the spokesperson added.

The injured have been transported from the accident site by ambulance and helicopter, the fire department said in a post on X.
