Akakhel Tribal Jirga Demands Concrete Steps To Tackle Worsening Law And Order


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) In Bara area of District Khyber, an important grand tribal peace jirga was held at Jahaaz Ground under the auspices of the Akakhel tribe amid worsening law and order situation. The meeting discussed in detail the current situation, rising insecurity, and public safety concerns.

The jirga agreed that immediate and effective steps are essential for lasting peace in the area. Participants emphasized that the protection of lives and property of citizens must be ensured at all costs, and practical measures should be taken to improve law and order.

National Council Chairman Khiyal Zaman Afridi said that the Akakhel tribe appreciates the cooperation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, MNA Iqbal, and MPA Abdul Ghani Afridi. He added that the provincial government has assured elders of the immediate resolution of their issues.

He further said that an important meeting will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 2 PM at the National Council office to implement the jirga decisions, where political and social leaders along with council officials will finalize a future joint strategy, which will later be presented to the community.

Participants of the jirga unanimously expressed their commitment to maintaining peace in the area and stated that no form of unrest or chaos will be tolerated, while also urging the government to take concrete and practical steps for lasting peace.

The jirga was attended by several prominent figures including former Tehsil Chairman Mufti Kafeel Afridi, National Council Chairman Khiyal Zaman Afridi, former candidate and Saaya Welfare Foundation Chairman Haji Jahangir Afridi, Malik Attaullah, Sohail Ahmad Afridi, Haji Ajab Khan, and Zawan Akakhel Ittehad President Ajab Khan, among others.
