Ukrainian Commander Confirms New Strike On Tuapse Oil Refinery

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the commander announced this on Facebook and released a corresponding video.

"A hydrocarbon wedding in Tuapse 2.0. An encore return of 'holy fire' to a critically important oil facility on the night of April 20," Brovdi wrote.

He added that "the celebrations marking the successful three-day effort to extinguish the results of the previous 'courtesy visit' have been canceled by a renewed strike – the 'wedding' at the Tuapse terminal continues indefinitely, with an afterparty in the style of Groundhog Day."

According to Brovdi, the attack was carried out by the Magyar's Birds deep-strike units, along with Ukraine's Special Operations Forces and the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate.

As reported, a large-scale fire broke out overnight on April 20 at the refinery's tank farm in Tuapse following a drone attack. Eyewitness footage shows at least four to five storage tanks on fire.

The Tuapse refinery had already come under drone attack on April 16, with the strike confirmed by Ukraine's General Staff.

The Tuapse oil refinery is located in Russia's Krasnodar region and is operated by RN-Tuapse Refinery LLC, part of the Rosneft oil company. It forms a production complex together with a marine terminal operated by RN-Morskoy Terminal Tuapse LLC.
