Pezeshkian Says U.S. Has No Right to Deny Tehran of Nuclear Rights
(MENAFN) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian pushed back against Washington on Sunday, asserting that the United States lacks any legal basis to deny Iran its internationally recognized nuclear rights, according to an Iranian news agency.
Pezeshkian directly challenged U.S. President Donald Trump's position that Iran should be barred from exercising those rights, calling the stance unreasonable and demanding accountability from Washington over its accusations against Tehran.
The Iranian president questioned what grounds the United States was using to justify its pressure campaign, noting that Washington had not explained "what crime" Iran had committed.
Pezeshkian also signaled a conditional willingness to pursue a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing standoff, stating that Iran is working to bring the conflict to an end "with dignity."
