Bannu: Attack On Security Forces Convoy On Indus Highway
The injured were immediately shifted to the Combined Military Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
According to security sources, the convoy was traveling from Peshawar to Bannu when a vehicle loaded with explosives struck one of the convoy's vehicles near Burmi Khel. The blast was extremely powerful, causing panic and fear across the area.
Among those martyred were Naik Shahbaz, Sepoy Aftab, and Sepoy Bilal. The injured include Sepoy Ehsan, Lance Naik Ajmal, Ikram, and one civilian passerby.

Initially, conflicting reports emerged regarding the nature of the explosion, but security sources later confirmed that it was a suicide attack carried out using an explosives-laden vehicle.
According to the bomb disposal squad, around 150 to 200 kilograms of explosives were used in the attack. Evidence has been collected from the scene, and remains of the destroyed vehicle have also been recovered.
Immediately after the incident, security forces and police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Eyewitnesses reported that firing also continued for some time after the blast.
Authorities stated that a full investigation is underway, and those responsible will be brought to justice soon.
