Four New Lawyers Take Oath Before Lawyers Admission Committee
Doha, Qatar: The Lawyers Admission Committee convened yesterday under the chairmanship of Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Chairman of the Committee H E Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Mohannadi at its permanent headquarters in the Ministry of Justice building.
During the meeting, the committee discussed the items on its agenda. Four new lawyers took the legal oath before the committee after completing their training period.
The committee also reviewed applications for the registration of several practitioners of equivalent professions in the rolls of practicing lawyers, as well as those who have completed their training. It further considered applications to register lawyers for QatarEnergy. Additionally, the committee reviewed requests to transfer the registration of two lawyers from the primary level to the roll of lawyers authorized to appear before the Court of Appeal, and requests to promote three lawyers from the appellate level to the Court of Cassation.
Several regulatory matters related to the legal profession were also discussed, including reports of subcommittees and the continued review of a proposal by the Department of Lawyers Affairs regarding regulations governing litigation permits. Appropriate decisions were taken in this regard.
During the meeting, Al-Mohannadi congratulated the new lawyers, affirming the committee's commitment to providing a suitable legal environment that enables them to carry out their noble duties in serving society.
He also expressed his best wishes for success to trainee lawyers, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the training programmes offered at the Legal and Judicial Studies Center at the Ministry of Justice, and benefiting from the knowledge they will acquire during their training period to enhance their legal skills and develop their capabilities to practice the profession professionally, thereby strengthening Qatar's legal system.
