Baalbek Focus Of Debate In Rio De Janeiro
Titled“Baalbek, World Heritage – culture and resistance in times of war,” the meeting will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cinema Auditorium of the Federal Justice Cultural Center, downtown. Baalbek is recognized as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). To attend the event, it is necessary to confirm participation by this Thursday (16).
The meeting will feature remote participation, from Beirut, by the president of the Baalbek International Festival, Nayla de Freige. Director and stage director Jorge Takla and historian Silvia Antibas, who is vice president of Marketing at the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Lebanese-Brazilian Academy of Letters, Arts and Sciences, will join online from São Paulo.
According to the information released, the debate will also include in-person participation by the academy's vice president and event moderator, Katia Chalita, as well as members maestro Tim Rescala and journalist Antônio Carlos Miguel. The free event has institutional support from the Federal Justice Cultural Center.
