Google Officially Launches Gemini App For Macos
The application allows users to share the entire screen content with the smart assistant, including images, documents, data, code, and then ask questions about it. It also supports sharing entire web pages, not just the elements that appear on the screen.
The Gemini app on macOS supports image creation, videos, and audio clips based on Nano Banana models for image generation and Veo models for video production. It also allows uploading files from Google Drive and reviewing previous conversations associated with the user's account.
Google requires that the application be granted permission to access system data before sharing the screen, as Gemini relies on analyzing the displayed content to answer user inquiries instantly.
The app is available for free in all languages and countries currently supported by Gemini, and is compatible with devices running macOS 15 or later, with plans to add new features in the coming months.
