According to OGDCL, the Baragzai X-1 well is currently producing around 15,000 barrels of oil per day and 45 million cubic feet of gas daily. There are plans to increase production to 25,000 barrels of oil and 60 million cubic feet of gas per day in the future.
The statement further said that the project was completed in a challenging and remote area, using modern technology to ensure safe and efficient operations.
During the project, an 8-kilometer-long pipeline was also laid in a short time, which is considered a significant achievement.
OGDCL stated that Baragzai X-1 has now become the highest-producing well in Pakistan and is contributing approximately 10% to the country's total crude oil production.
