Profile Articles Activity

As an Applied Systems Anthropologist, I work at the intersection of research, innovation, and societal impact, applying systems thinking to connect ideas, people, and technologies in meaningful ways.
With over 30 years of experience across academia, industry, and public-sector innovation, I focus on translating complex concepts into practical, real-world applications. My work emphasizes human-centred knowledge mobilization, examining not only technologies and ventures, but also the individuals, cultures, and ecosystems that shape their success.
I engage across digital media, entrepreneurship, and advanced innovation environments, supporting initiatives that bring together researchers, creators, and industry partners. This includes developing pathways for commercialization, fostering creative and technical collaboration, and enabling ventures to move from concept to implementation.
Increasingly, my work extends into defence-adjacent contexts, where I contribute to conversations around resilience, dual-use innovation, and national capability. I bring an entrepreneurial and systems-oriented lens to assessing readiness, narrative clarity, and ecosystem alignment, helping ensure that emerging ideas are positioned for both impact and adaptability.
I am particularly interested in how interdisciplinary approaches-spanning digital media, cultural insight, and technological innovation-can strengthen innovation ecosystems, support mission-oriented organizations, and contribute to a more resilient and future-ready society.
