Qatarpakistan Joint Working Group Holds First Meeting On Trade And Investment
The first meeting of the Qatar–Pakistan Joint Working Group on trade and investment was held via videoconference, chaired by Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs H E Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, and Minister of Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H E Jam Kamal Khan, with the participation of a number of relevant entities from both countries.
During the meeting, both sides discussed a number of topics of mutual interest and emphasised the importance of strengthening economic integration between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The discussions also addressed ways to enhance bilateral trade, develop supply chains to improve the efficiency of the flow of goods and services, support exports, develop air and maritime logistics links, strengthen private sector participation in both countries through the Joint Business Council, and explore opportunities to increase joint investments, thereby supporting a sustainable economic partnership.
