Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received on Tuesday a phone call from HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman.
During the call, they discussed the latest developments on the regional and international scenes, particularly in light of the current escalation in the region, especially regarding developments in the Strait of Hormuz and their repercussions on international maritime security and global energy supplies.
Both sides emphasized the importance of restraint and prioritizing diplomatic solutions, which would contribute to strengthening security and stability and ensuring freedom of navigation and the safety of vital maritime routes.
