Tonic Communications Expands Into Brisbane With New Hire

(MENAFN- PRovoke) BRISBANE - Trans-Tasman agency Tonic Communications has hired seasoned industry professional Amelia Oberhardt as its new media and communications director based in Brisbane. Tonic currently operates out of Sydney and Auckland, with Oberhardt's appointment and established Brisbane presence further strengthening its footprint across ANZ.

Oberhardt will work across Tonic's expanding client roster, including recently secured Queensland-based accounts. She joins Tonic from Subway, where she was most recently its public relations and corporate social responsibility manager AU and NZ. She brings more than two decades of experience across radio, television, podcasting, public relations and event management to the newly created role. Tonic Communications managing director Georgia Coleman said that Oberhardt's appointment marks an exciting step in the agency's continued expansion across Australia.“Amelia's someone I've known and respected for a long time. She's sharp, connected, and just gets what it takes to cut through in a meaningful way,” Coleman said. “With so much content being created, and AI only accelerating that, the real value now is knowing what's worth saying, and how to make it land. That's exactly what Amelia brings," Coleman added. Oberhardt went on to say that she was excited to be joining Tonic at a time of growth for the business.“What stood out to me about Tonic is the way the team approaches earned PR – it's thoughtful, considered, and focused on what will actually make an impact. I'm looking forward to building on that and continuing to grow the agency's presence here in Queensland,” Oberhardt said.
