I'm a Professor of Statistics at the University of Limerick with research interests in flexible statistical modelling, penalised regression, neural networks, random effects, survival/reliability analysis, and industrial modelling.

I'm was also recently the Chair of the International Workshop on Statistical Modelling (IWSM) 2025, which took place in Limerick City, Ireland, from Sunday 13th July to Friday 18th July 2025.
