Alexander Bor

Alexander Bor is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Central European University (CEU) Democracy Institute. He is currently leading research on the EU-funded ERA project How Effective are Illiberal Strategies of Citizen Manipulation? (ICMAN). He earned his PhD in Political Science from Aarhus University in 2018 and subsequently worked there as a postdoctoral researcher until 2022. His research explores how the human mind navigates social and political challenges, including the acquisition and exchange of political information, the understanding and maintenance of democracy, and the selection and evaluation of leaders. His work integrates political science and psychology, employing a range of quantitative methodologies such as surveys, experiments, and machine learning. Dr. Bor's research has been published in top academic journals, including Nature, PNAS, and American Political Science Review. His work has also been featured in major international media outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic.
