Mardan: Ninth-Grade Student Shot Dead On Way To Exam

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) A ninth-grade student was shot dead in the Jughfarabad Machi area of Rustam tehsil in Mardan, while the suspect managed to flee the scene.

According to the police, the victim, Haroon ur Rasheed, was on his way to Government High School (GHS) Machi Rustam to appear in his exam when an unknown person opened fire on him.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured student to Rustam Hospital immediately; however, he succumbed to his injuries.

The complainant, Riaz, son of Faqir Muhammad, registered a report at Rustam Police Station, alleging that his son was shot dead by Muaz, son of Gulab Khan, a resident of Barbokai Machi. The motive behind the incident has not yet been determined.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation, while raids are underway at various locations to arrest the suspect. Citizens have demanded the immediate arrest of the accused.
