Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 2026: Dubai Residential, owner and operator of one of Dubai's largest and most diverse residential leasing portfolios, has partnered with Dubai Health to launch a community blood donation drive spanning five of its key residential communities. Delivered under the 'My Blood, for My Country' campaign, the initiative kicked off at Al Khail Gate before rolling out across Shorooq, Ghoroob, The Gardens, and International City, bringing a life-saving healthcare experience directly to residents' doorsteps. The campaign is a collaboration between Al Ameen Service, Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and Dubai Health. Over the past 13 years, it has helped ensure a steady supply of blood for patients in both public and private healthcare facilities, including Dubai Health's Thalassemia Center, while promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation across the community as a humanitarian and social responsibility. The drive also reflects a growing culture of community commitment to supporting national humanitarian initiatives, where residents come together to support causes that directly impact lives. The first event at Al Khail Gate community set the tone for the upcoming drives, each designed to make giving back more accessible within Dubai Residential communities. “This initiative is a reflection of who we are as an organisation, one that sees its role extending well beyond property management,” said Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of Dubai Residential.“Our 21 communities combined are home to more than 140,000 residents, and with that comes a responsibility to create environments where people feel connected to something greater than themselves. Partnering with Dubai Health on this campaign is a natural extension of that commitment, and we hope it sets a precedent for the kind of meaningful, resident-centred initiatives we will continue to bring to our communities.” Dr. Hiba Alhumaidan, Chair of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Dubai Health said:“Blood donation reflects the values of compassion and solidarity that define the UAE community. At Dubai Health, we believe that fostering a culture of blood donation is a shared responsibility, where institutions and individuals contribute to the continuity of care across our health system, in line with our 'Patient First' promise.” She added:“We extend our sincere thanks to Dubai Residential for this meaningful initiative, and we also value the efforts of all partners involved in the 'My Blood, for My Country' campaign, which stands as a testament to collaboration between the public and private sectors and the wider community.” The voluntary blood donation drive will contribute to Dubai Health's wider efforts in supporting the national blood donation system. Across all Dubai Residential activations, the initiative aims to collect more than 200 blood units. On the first day alone, the blood donation drive saw strong community participation, with over 69 residents taking part and approximately 60 units of blood collected, reflecting the community's willingness to support meaningful causes. Specialised medical teams were present on-site to guide participants through the donation process, ensuring a safe and seamless experience in line with established health and safety standards. The campaign will continue across other Dubai Residential's communities including Ghoroob and Shorooq on 29 May, The Gardens on 10 July, and International City on 16 July, where residents within each community are invited to take part and donate.
