Kyrgyzstan And Boston Consulting Group Discuss Potential For Railway Infrastructure Dev't

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 2. Kyrgyzstan and Boston Consulting Group discussed the potential for railway infrastructure development, Trend reports via the Kyrgyz Ministry of Transport and Communications.

This issue was discussed during a meeting between Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Talantbek Soltobaev and representative of Boston Consulting Group Andrey Lukyanov.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the potential for developing the country's railway infrastructure, as well as the implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project and the Balykchy - Kochkor - Kara-Keche - Makmal railway route.

The participants also exchanged views on project support and the preparation of investment project feasibility studies.

The ministry expressed its readiness to work jointly with Boston Consulting Group and noted its intention to propose a number of projects for joint development.

Furthermore, the sides discussed establishing a specific framework for cooperation with Boston Consulting Group to ensure a practical, long-term, and sustainable partnership.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan is focusing on the development and modernization of its railway infrastructure to enhance connectivity, improve the efficiency of passenger and freight transport, and support regional economic integration.

Efforts include upgrading existing lines, expanding key routes, and exploring long-term investment opportunities to strengthen the country's transport network.
