Uzbek Envoy Condemns Pakistan Attack On Drug Rehab Hospital In Kabul


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): The Consul General of Uzbekistan has condemned the reported attack by Pakistan on civilian areas, particularly a drug treatment hospital in Kabul, describing it as contrary to the principles of good neighborliness and deeply regrettable.

According to reports, Mohammad Akbar Azimi, Consul General of the Islamic Emirate in Istanbul, met with his Uzbek counterpart, Shirzad Abdulnazarov, where the two sides discussed strengthening historical, political, economic, and cultural ties between their countries.

During the meeting, the Afghan Consul General provided detailed information regarding alleged attacks by Pakistan on Afghan territory, especially those targeting healthcare facilities, and characterized these actions as criminal.

The Uzbek Consul General also expressed concern over the reported attack on civilian areas, particularly the drug treatment hospital in Kabul, calling it a violation of good neighborly relations and an unfortunate development.

According to the reports, the airstrike on the hospital resulted in the deaths of 400 patients undergoing treatment, while approximately 250 others were injured.
