The two ministers shared perspectives on methods of handling the current developments and preventing military escalation, with both sides stressing the criticality of continuing de-escalation coordination and lending impetus to the diplomatic pathway, taking into account the severe security and geopolitical implications arising from the war for the region and the entire world, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

In addition, both ministers agreed to proceed with close coordination and consultation as part of the strategic relationship between the two countries, as well as jointly working to de-escalate tension in the region and resort to the diplomatic path to protect the region from the risks of further instability.

Regarding the developments in Lebanon, Abdeltty stressed the importance of the immediate cessation of Israeli violations and offenses against Lebanon, reiterating Egypt's full condemnation and absolute rejection of these assaults and any attempts to compromise Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
