Russian Court Hands Life Sentences to Crocus City Hall Attackers


(MENAFN) A Russian tribunal on Thursday condemned four individuals responsible for the 2024 assault at the "Crocus City Hall" concert hall to life imprisonment.

According to a declaration from the Second Western District Military Court, Shamsidin Fariduni, Dalerjon Mirzoev, Muhammadsobir Faizov, and Saidakrami Rachabalizoda were adjudicated guilty of executing the attack.

Out of the 19 defendants facing trial, the other 15 are accused of supporting and facilitating the assailants.

In March 2024, Fariduni, Mirzoev, Faizov, and Rachabalizoda orchestrated a synchronized terrorist operation targeting civilians at the "Crocus City Hall" music venue in Crocus City, Krasnogorsk, Moscow Oblast.

The assailants stormed the hall and unleashed gunfire, resulting in 149 fatalities and over 600 attendees injured either by bullets or burns, based on official statistics.
