War Update: 148 Frontline Clashes Over Past Day, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka Sectors See Fiercest Fighting

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) As reported by Ukrinform, this is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Faceboo about the frontline situation as of 08:00 on Saturday, March 7.

The enemy carried out 73 airstrikes, dropping 243 glide bombs. In addition, Russian forces used 8,168 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,447 shelling attacks, including 105 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The Russians conducted airstrikes on the settlements of Pokrovsk, Kolomiitsi, Pysantsi, Oleksandrivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipole, Hirke, Charivne, Vozdvyzhivka, Rizdvianka, Rivne, Liubytske, Komyshuvakha, Trudove, Veselianka in the Zaporizhzhia region; Olhivka in the Kherson region; and Zatoka in the Odesa region.

The aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a UAV command post, six clusters of enemy personnel, one artillery system, and two other important enemy objects.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, two clashes were recorded; the enemy carried out one airstrike, dropping three bombs, and conducted 117 shelling attacks, including seven from MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russians attempted five times to break through Ukrainian defensive lines toward Zybyne, Vilcha, and Sheviakivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked five times toward Pishchane, Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, and Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked eight times, trying to penetrate Ukrainian defenses near Tverdokhlibove, Derylove, Kolodiazi, and toward Stepove, Stavky, Drobysheve, and Lyman.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces halted nine attempts by the enemy to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Riznykivka, and the Zakitne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked twice near Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Predtechyne.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 23 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Berestok, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Novopavlivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces halted 24 assault actions of the Russian army near Shakhove, Zatyshok, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Novopidhorodnie, and toward Novooleksandrivka and Bilytske.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked three times near Verbove and Ternove.

In the Huliaipole sector, 19 Russian attacks occurred near Myrne, Huliaipole, and toward Zaliznychne, Krynychne, Olenokostiantynivka, and Varvarivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, four clashes occurred near Stepnohirsk and Plavni.

On the Prydniprovske sector, Ukrainian units repelled one enemy attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian offensive group formation were observed.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian forces from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, February 24, 2022, to March 7, 2026, amount to approximately 1,272,360 personnel.
