UAE Air Defences Dealing With 'Barrage' Of Ballistic Missiles From Iran

On early Tuesday morning, at 2.49am, UAE's Ministry of Defence announced that air defences are "dealing with a barrage" of ballistic missiles from Iran.

The ministry reassured citizens and residents that their safety remains a top priority. The authority confirmed its "full readiness" to address all threat to ensure the protection of the state's territories. Some residents received emergency alerts:

UAE's National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority urged the public to remain in a safe location, and follow official channels for warnings and updates. It added that air defence systems are "currently responding" to a missile threat.

On Monday, UAE announced that since the start of the attack, 174 ballistic missiles launched toward the country have been detected, with 161 of them destroyed, while 13 fell into the sea.

Additionally, 689 Iranian drones were detected and 645 were intercepted, while 44 fell within the country's territory.

Furthermore, 8 cruise missiles were detected and destroyed, causing some collateral damage, and resulting in 3 fatalities and 68 minor injuries.

On Monday, UAE's airports resumed limited operations, with the first "exceptional" flights operating to help stranded visitors return home
