Tajikistan Orders Nationals to Flee Iran

(MENAFN) The Embassy of Tajikistan in Tehran issued an urgent directive Saturday, calling on all Tajik nationals currently inside Iran to depart the country immediately using whatever travel options remain available.

In an official statement published on the embassy's website, diplomatic authorities urged citizens to stay composed, exercise heightened caution, and closely follow all updates and instructions issued by both the embassy and Iranian officials.

The embassy further warned Tajik nationals to steer clear of military installations and government buildings, while strictly refraining from capturing photos or video footage anywhere across the country.

The advisory stopped short of citing a specific threat or incident, but its firm and urgent language signals growing concern for the safety of Tajik nationals on Iranian soil. The call to monitor official channels closely suggests the situation remains fluid and subject to rapid change.

The move places Tajikistan among a series of nations that have recently moved to protect their citizens amid heightened regional tensions in the Middle East.
