The UAE has announced fuel prices for March 2026, reversing a two-month downward trend as petrol and diesel rates rise from February.
The fuel price committee had earlier reduced rates for the month of February 2026. The three variants of petrol - Super 98, Special 95 and E-Plus - also saw a slight price dip in January compared to December 2025. The country deregulated petrol prices in 2015 to align them with the international rate.

The new rates listed below will apply from March 1, 2026, and are as follows:
- Super 98 petrol will cost Dh2.59 a litre, compared to Dh2.45 in February.
Special 95 petrol will cost Dh2.48 per litre, compared to the current rate of Dh2.33. E-Plus 91 petrol prices will cost Dh2.40 per litre, compared to the previous rate of Dh2.26 a litre.
Diesel will be charged at Dh2.72 a litre, compared to the current rate of Dh2.52.
As reported earlier, petrol prices in the UAE could rise for March following an increase in global oil prices in January.
The average closing price for Brent oil was $63.47 per barrel this month, compared to $61.51 in December 2025, due to supply disruption fears from Iran and Venezuela amidst geopolitical tensions.
Brent saw the highest close at $66.52 per barrel during the first three weeks of this month. On Tuesday morning, Brent and WTI were steady at $65.5 and $60.6 a barrel, respectively.
The growing number of vehicles in the UAE is fuelling more demand for petrol and diesel. According to Adnoc Distribution, the UAE's largest fuel retailer, it achieved the highest nine-month fuel volumes in its history, totalling 11.7 billion litres as it added 85 new service stations during the January-September 2026 period, bringing its total network size to 977.
