One&Only The Palm Unveils a Bespoke Ramadan Majlis in Collaboration with Majid Alyousef at 101 Dining Lounge & Marina
(MENAFN- PRCO) Dubai, 26 February 2026 - This Ramadan, One&Only The Palm collaborates with celebrated Emirati calligrapher Majid Alyousef in a unique cultural activation presented by Art Kōrero. Transforming the Skyline Deck at 101 Dining Lounge & Marina into an intimate Majlis, the installation invites guests to connect with the spiritual essence of the Holy Month through a contemporary interpretation of Arabic script.
Rooted in the Arabic letter ر, the bespoke sculptural composition draws inspiration from the core values of Ramadan including mercy, hope, spirituality, contentment and tenderness. Rather than presenting these words literally, Alyousef merges them into layered abstract forms, creating a unified visual expression that is not meant to be read, but felt. Set between the open sea and Duba’’s illuminated skyline, the installation becomes a contemplative frame for reflection and shared gathering.
Majid Alyousef is internationally recognised for transforming Arabic characters into contemporary abstract forms that bridge classical calligraphy with avant garde philosophy. His work has been exhibited globally, including at New York City’s Times Square and the United Nations Room of the Emirates in Geneva. His distinctive approach reshapes perceptions of Arabic calligraphy, extending it beyond canvas into immersive spatial environments.
