(MENAFN) Elon Musk's social media platform X suffered widespread disruptions Monday, with tens of thousands of users across the globe reporting access failures, according to outage monitoring service Downdetector.
Reports began flooding in at 1315 GMT, with more than 40,000 users flagging difficulties connecting to the platform within a short window.
The bulk of complaints — 53% — pointed to problems within the application itself, while 21% of users cited issues with their feed and timeline. A further 16% reported difficulties accessing the site via desktop.
Downdetector draws its figures exclusively from user-submitted reports, suggesting the true scale of the disruption could be considerably broader than recorded numbers indicate.
