US Central Command Attacks ISIS Targets in Syria
(MENAFN) The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that between Feb. 3–12, 2026, US forces carried out 10 airstrikes on over 30 ISIS (Daesh) targets in Syria.
The strikes focused on ISIS infrastructure and weapons storage facilities, using precision munitions delivered by fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and drones. CENTCOM said the operations aim to disrupt ISIS capabilities and prevent attacks on US and allied forces.
These strikes follow five previous operations from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2 and are part of Operation Hawkeye Strike, launched in response to a Dec. 13, 2025 ISIS ambush in Palmyra. That attack targeted US and Syrian partner forces, resulting in two US service member deaths and the death of an American interpreter.
CENTCOM emphasized that these operations are ongoing to safeguard coalition forces and maintain pressure on ISIS in eastern and central Syria.
