Türkiye Welcomes Sixty-Four Million Tourists in 2025
(MENAFN) Türkiye welcomed 64 million tourists and earned $65.2 billion in tourism revenue in 2025, marking increases of 3% and 7% respectively compared to 2024, according to Erkan Yagci, head of the Turkish tourism non-profit Turofed. He called Türkiye “a truly powerful tourism country,” noting that the nation became the fourth-most-visited country globally according to the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Yagci emphasized the sector’s resilience to geopolitical challenges, expressing optimism for 2026, and highlighted efforts to expand tourism year-round and across all regions. Initiatives include boosting sports and conference tourism, with Antalya hosting major events such as the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 (April 17–19), the 77th International Astronautical Congress (Oct. 5–9), and COP31 climate conference (Nov. 9–20). Antalya, a key hub for tourism, ranks among the top 10 cities worldwide in tourist capacity.
