The literary classic“The Little Prince: A Musical Adventure” will come to life in a contemporary version that combines music, theater, and technology.

The play will be presented under the production of the National Auditorium Theater, following its success on the famous Calle Corrientes in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Licensed by Club Media, the story offers a contemporary perspective in which the characters adapt to the digital world and social media.

El Vanidoso becomes a YouTuber, while other characters reflect the dilemmas of a connected and fast-paced society.

The show will feature 17 performers on stage, large-format projections, and a set design that includes a full-scale airplane.

Gerardo Cruz, renowned for his career in high-profile productions in Costa Rica and Central America, is the general director.

The cast is entirely Costa Rican. Luis Montalbert will play the Aviator and Steven Campos will bring the Little Prince to life.

Both artists are reunited after appearing together on the program“Nace una Estrella” (A Star is Born), this time as the protagonists of this timeless story.

The cast is rounded out by Melvin Jiménez, Cristian Salazar, Sofía Fernández, Rachel Araya, Greivin Calvo, Carlos Guillén, and Bernardo Jiménez.

Eight professional dancers complement the staging with choreography created by Paula Alfaro, a leading figure in Costa Rican musical theater.

Vocal direction is provided by Nebin Mata, who will guide the cast to achieve a high-level vocal performance.

The Costa Rican Center for Science and Culture is promoting this production as part of its artistic programming for 2026.

The show promises an immersive experience that highlights children's sensitivity to the adult world and the value of friendship.
