WML Denounces Targeting Of WFP Convoy In North Kordofan
Makkah Al-Mukarramah: The World Muslim League (WML) has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of a relief convoy of the World Food Programme (WFP) by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in North Kordofan in the Republic of the Sudan.
In a statement by the WML's General Secretariat, Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, called out this brazen criminal act, which dangerously violates all religious values, as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms.
Al-Issa reaffirmed the positions of the WML and all Muslim nations under its umbrella, rejecting and condemning the targeting of civilians, relief organizations, and their operators.
He stressed the importance of adherence to what had been set forth in the Jeddah Declaration and the relevant international laws on protecting civilians and ensuring the security of aid corridors in Sudan.
