Azerbaijan Sets Term For Issuing Investment Promotion Docs For Strategic Projects - Decree

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 6. The term for issuing an investment promotion document for strategic investment projects in Azerbaijan has been determined, Trend reports.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree.

According to the decree, the minimum investment amount for issuing an investment promotion document has been increased. According to the new rule, an investment promotion document is issued to projects with an investment of at least three million manat ($1.7 million). For residents operating in industrial zones, this limit has been set at one million manat ($590,000).

The decree also regulates a new deadline for strategic investment projects. Companies and individual entrepreneurs submitting a strategic project will be able to receive an investment promotion document for a period of six years from January 1, 2023.

The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan must resolve the issues arising from this decree.
