Web Summit Qatar Signs Mou With Chamber Of Commerce And Industry Of Serbia

Doha, Qatar: The Government Communications Office (GCO) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) to enhance cooperation in international events and support Serbia's official participation in upcoming editions of Web Summit Qatar.

Signed on the sidelines of the third edition of Web Summit Qatar, the three-year MoU was accompanied by the launch of a dedicated pavilion for Serbian startups, reinforcing economic and technological collaboration between the two countries.

Director of GCO and Chairman of the Permanent Web Summit Organizing Committee H E Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani, and CCIS President H E Marko Cadez signed the agreement, in the presence of several senior officials.

The MoU is designed to broaden cooperation in international events and boost Serbian participation in future editions of Web Summit Qatar, enabling startups, investors, and decision-makers from Serbia to engage more actively in the global innovation ecosystem through the MENA's largest technology platform.

Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani said that the MoU underscores Qatar's focus on expanding global partnerships in innovation and the digital economy, noting that Web Summit Qatar provides a powerful platform for linking startups with investors and decision-makers and for deepening economic and technological collaboration worldwide.

He added,“Serbia's participation in Web Summit Qatar, through a dedicated national startup pavilion, offers a strategic opportunity to showcase its technology strengths, build partnerships with stakeholders in Qatar and the region, and unlock new avenues for investment and growth.”

In turn, Marko Cadez said,“We hope to start the practical implementation of this partnership combining Serbia's strong engineering expertise with Qatar's market knowledge to create tangible results.” Web Summit Qatar is a key international platform that convenes startups, investors, and technology leaders from across the globe, playing an active role in advancing innovation ecosystems and deepening economic and technological cooperation at the regional and global levels.
