CM Omar To Move Bills On Ease Of Doing Business


(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will on Wednesday introduce two bills in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, aimed at decriminalising certain offences to promote ease of living and doing business, and eliminating discrimination against persons affected by leprosy.

According to the list of business circulated by the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister will move a bill to amend select enactments of the Union Territory to decriminalise and rationalise offences. The proposed legislation seeks to strengthen trust based governance and improve the overall business and living environment in Jammu and Kashmir.

The second bill to be introduced by the Chief Minister aims to amend existing laws to remove discrimination and denial of equal treatment to persons affected by leprosy. The proposed legislation seeks to address practices that promote segregation and discrimination against such persons.
