Inaugural Doha Legal Forum Convenes Monday
Doha, Qatar: Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the inaugural Doha Legal Forum will convene on Monday.
Under the theme "Emerging Trends and Forward-Looking Insights", the forum is organized by the Ministry of Justice in collaboration with Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC).
The forum features high-profile participation from ministers of justice, legal scholars, policy makers, as well as experts from various countries of the world, thereby strengthening the State of Qatar's standing as a crossroads for legal dialogue and sharing expertise both on the legal and global stages.
The event primarily intends to project the Qatari legislative environment and its role in supporting domestic and foreign investment, in addition to debating the legal and regulatory frameworks pertaining to investment and emerging technologies, governance issues, and conflict settlement mechanisms, as well as envisioning the future of legislation and judiciary and boosting the rule of law in multiple critical economic sectors.
It is anticipated that the forum will come up with practical recommendations that help advance legislation in alignment with international standards, support a secure and stable business environment, shore up transparency and governance, and Qatar's position as a legal and global legal hub supportive of economic growth and sustainable development.
