Spanish Super Cup Eyes Qatar As Venue For 2027 Edition
Doha, Qatar: The next edition of the Spanish Super Cup could be held in Qatar, confirmed the President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzan, adding that negotiations are underway with the country as an alternative host for the tournament next year.
In an interview to Spanish outlet COPE, Louzan confirmed that the Super Cup will leave Saudi Arabia as it will host the Asian Cup the same period, from January 7 to February 6, 2027, necessitating a new venue.
Louzan said that negotiations are focused on Qatar, adding, "We have a good contract, a very good contract; it's true that everything can be improved."
