Türkiye’s BIST 100 Index Reaches Fresh Record
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s leading stock index began the week on a positive note Monday, climbing 0.55% or 67.03 points to achieve a new all-time high of 12,267.98.
On Friday, the BIST 100 had advanced 0.93%, closing at a historic peak of 12,200.95 points, with daily trading volume reaching 157 billion liras ($3.65 billion).
By 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), the exchange rate stood at 43.1415 for the US dollar/Turkish lira, 50.3830 for the euro/lira, and 58.0060 for the British pound/lira.
Meanwhile, the price of gold per ounce was $4,578.70, and Brent crude oil was being traded at $63.2 per barrel.
