YouTuber, entrepreneur and media personality Jimmy Donaldson, popular as MrBeast, announced the winners of the 1 Billion Acts of Kindness campaign on Friday. The 10 lucky winners will accompany him to Ghana for humanitarian initiatives, such as improving housing infrastructure and education and even raising awareness about child labour.
Among the winners are Walid Elmusrati, Ella Loren Y, Majd Alzakout, The World Sucks, and Priya and Said, each of which had to submit a video of them committing an act of kindness in their own community.
Recommended For YouMrBeast announced the winners on the first day of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, 3-day gathering of content creators, influencers, and creatives, taking place from 9 to 11 January.
The campaign was launched on November 7, 2025, where MrBeast encouraged other content creators around the world to engage in an act of kindness in their own communities. It is supported by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Initiatives and the Varkey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of GEMS Education.
As to how the 10 creators were chosen, MrBeast said that he made sure his team chose people from different countries and from each continent. Another criterion he kept in mind was if the creators were truly passionate about helping others, saying,“Are they actually passionate about helping people? Is it something they genuinely care about? Those are the three big criteria,” he said.
During the Summit's opening speech, the UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Mohammad Al Gergawi, said that the 1 Billion Acts of Kindness campaign got more than 170,000 submissions from creators all around the world. He said that the campaign was started as a simple, but meaningful step to share kindness among creators.
“Our goal is to support the creation of a positive level that benefits societies and people,” Al Gergawi said.
The minister added that content creation has become more than just a form of entertainment, but one that is an essential part of people's lives.“It plays a role in shaping people's awareness and building their lives, defining their future. It is a driver of the economy, of society,” he said.
