"This year, we are expecting more than that, because new projects have been announced and more will be announced during the expo. We're expecting sales and the number of visitors to grow 20 to 25 per cent compared to last year,” said Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

He said one of the key highlights of the exhibition is that buyers will be offered 50 per cent off the government registration fee; hence, both the developer and buyer will benefit from the deal. This initiative is aimed at supporting the local real estate market, which has grown tremendously after the introduction of the freehold law in the emirate a few years ago.

“Sharjah real estate has been growing due to freehold law, the establishment of new industrial areas, the launch of new projects, and attractive deals being offered by the developer,” said Al Suwaidi, who is also chairman of the organising committee of Acres.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) will organise the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition“Acres” from January 21 to 24 at Expo Centre, Sharjah.

Spanning over 10,000 square meters, the annual exhibition draws over 15,000 visitors and investors from across the country and abroad.

“Sharjah's real estate market is witnessing balanced growth and diversified opportunities,” said Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, director-general of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He emphasised that the Sharjah Chamber is actively supporting this growth through developing targeted initiatives, strengthening strategic partnerships, and providing effective platforms that drive sustainable business growth.

Meanwhile, Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi said that Acres represents a strategic platform that reflects the vitality and dynamism of Sharjah's real estate market and introduces a more advanced approach to property investment.

He explained that the exhibition enables developers and investors to showcase real estate projects, introduce innovative property solutions, and build long-term partnerships. It also functions as an economic catalyst that supports high-value growth in the real estate sector and enhances Sharjah's position as a global destination for sustainable investment.
