In the Tirah Valley area of Khyber, dozens of families who are relocating in anticipation of a possible operation are facing severe difficulties during registration at the Dawatui check post.

Due to insufficient registration staff, long queues of vehicles have formed, and men, women, the elderly, and children are forced to wait for hours in the harsh cold.

According to reports from the area, many families were forced to spend the night in their vehicles, making conditions extremely difficult, especially for women, children, and the elderly.

The continuous drop in temperature during the night has further worsened the hardships of the affected people.

Noor Halim Afridi, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Tirah, expressed concern about the situation in a conversation with the media.

He stated that there is very limited staff available for registration, forcing people to stand in queues for hours, while women and children face severe cold.

Noor Halim Afridi warned that in such conditions, children and the elderly are at risk of being severely affected by the cold, urging the district administration and relevant authorities to take immediate action.

He demanded that the number of staff at the Dawatui registration point be increased, the registration process be expedited, and warm clothes, blankets, and other basic necessities be provided to the affected families on an emergency basis.

He further said that the people relocating are those who have previously made sacrifices for peace, and therefore it is the responsibility of the government and administration to reduce their hardships.
