Air India And Airbaltic Sign Codeshare Deal

Dhaka: Air India has announced a new codeshare partnership with airBaltic, enhancing accessibility to the Baltic region for its passengers.

This builds on the interline agreement established between the two carriers in June 2025.

The codeshare allows Air India to add its 'AI' designator code on airBaltic-operated flights between Riga, Latvia, and Air India's European gateways, including Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Milan Malpensa, Vienna, Zurich, and London Gatwick.

This offers Air India customers a seamless travel experience with a single ticket for connections to Riga.

Additionally, the expanded partnership enables Air India passengers to travel to Tallinn (Estonia) and Vilnius (Lithuania) via select European gateways.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India, said:“This expanded partnership reflects our commitment to providing seamless global connectivity.

Latvia and the Baltic region are growing travel markets, and airBaltic's inclusion enhances accessibility for our customers.”

Air India operates non-stop flights to various European cities, including daily services to Amsterdam, Paris, and Frankfurt, and additional services to London Gatwick, Milan, and Zurich.

Since its privatisation in 2022, Air India has expanded its global network, now with 24 codeshare agreements and nearly 100 interline partnerships, offering access to over 800 destinations worldwide.

The codeshare flights are available for booking through both airlines' channels and travel agents.
